What Is UCH

Unity Center of the Heights is a new thought organization dedicated to the teaching of Truth, as we can best understand it. We believe that it is through a deeper understanding of Truth and its practical application in our lives that we bring more Peace, Love and Joy into our lives.

Our foundation is based in the spiritual movement of Unity, as a member of the Association of Unity Churches International, which can be stated most succinctly in their Five Unity Principles as formulated by Charles Filmore, co-founder of Unity.

There is one Presence and One Power in the Universe, God the Good, Omnipotent.
The Christ, the perfect idea for mankind, is in every one of us. We are here on earth to learn to express our own Christ essence; to remember our own divinity.
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest world has its beginning in thought.
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.

Our foundation is also based on the teachings of A Course In Miracles. You can find out more about the Course by clicking on the link, which will take you a page on this website. At this point let us simply quote from the introduction to the Course:

"This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God."

We incorporate the teachings of other Spiritual Masters, enlightened authors and instructors to build a framework that produces a structure within which people can find their own purpose, transcend their limitations and manifest a life they love.

Because spiritual growth is a process and not an event, we believe that it is best achieved through practical application of universal spiritual principles in daily life. To assist in this process, we offer educational classes, study groups, support groups, coaching and, of course, our Sunday morning services (11:00 a.m.), which are "inspirational as well as fun and filled with magnificent music to stimulate your spiritual senses."

We would love to have the opportunity to meet you and be of support on your spiritual journey. We have a lot going on at Unity Center of the Heights.
